We provide homecare and independent living services for adults with learning disabilities in Taunton, Bath and Bridgewater. 

The supported living houses and individual flats are in beautiful central locations with good public transport links, very well maintained by private landlords, with your own room decorated to your specifications prior to moving in. 

There is a focus on peer support and friendship with staff trained in active support and inclusive communication to further enable you to be your own person and be part of things.

Some houses are for those who only need very little support with prompts and a well-being checking service, while others offer 24/7 care.

The service provides personal care with your dignity and privacy respected, all aspects of independent living skills including budgeting, opening mail,  cooking, shopping, laundry, recycling, medication management and keeping healthy, happy and active.

Everyone is different, thereby a person-centred plan consisting of enabling folders are put together with you and tailored to meet your specific needs building on your strengths first.

We have a regular and committed staff team to offer consistency, targeted timely support and who are highly skilled to assist you to self-manage any long term conditions that may affect you including behaviours that may challenge.

    Somerset County Council

    • High. Services which are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). They may involve personal care and a lot of 1-to-1 time with your customers. Examples – Home care agencies, care homes. You will need to upload: CQC number, Insurance certificate.
    • Medium. Services where you may need to go into your customer’s home or you may spend 1-to1 time with them. Examples – Home meals, Drivers, Personal Assistants. You will need to upload: An Insurance certificate and any documentation relevant to the service you provide, e.g. DBS number/policy, driving license, food hygiene.
    • Low. Services where you do not spend 1-to-1 time with your customers or go into their home. We do not require you to upload any documents. Examples – Social clubs, support groups.
